With the declaration of a Global Zombie Outbreak Watch, it is a good time to review zombie outbreak safety tips:
1. Stockpile supplies. Dry goods, canned goods, and drinking water should be high on the list. Ammunition and maintenance supplies/equipment for your firearms. Comfortable, but tight, work clothes. Sturdy, broken-in shoes or boots. Beware of frozen foods and other stockpile items that require electricity to maintain. Power will be an unreliable luxury once the dead walk the earth. Building supplies and hand tools are a must. Trying to find plywood before a hurricane hits is a difficult and expensive chore, but pre-hurricane winds will not try to eat your brains while you are fetching the materials.
2. The best defense is a good defense. Prepare to barricade yourself in a sturdy, defendable building with stockpiled supplies. Get this organized before the pandemic becomes a full blown outbreak! Make sure you retain sight lines and high shooting ports in your defenses.
3. Guns are nice, but crowbars, blades, swords, pikes, and machetes never run out of ammunition.
4. Lose a few pounds. That beer gut and love handles are just another item on the zombie buffet. They slow you down, make you less nimble, and require you to consume more precious food and water. Tone up now.
5. Keep or cut your hair short. Long hair is just a clean plate at the zombie buffet.
6. Be prepared to move. Be prepared to move without the luxury of internal combustion engines. Buy a bike and get a comfortable backpack. You can peddle faster than the living dead can run.
7. Team up with people you can trust. If you don’t trust anyone, then team up with hot chicks with poor appetites and people who run slower than you do.

Declared: Global Zombie Outbreak Watch
I am declaring a Global Zombie Outbreak Watch. A Global Zombie Outbreak Watch means conditions are favorable for a zombie outbreak.
The reason for the declaration of a Global Zombie Outbreak Watch is the Swine Flu Pandemic Warning being issued by governments all over the world and the World Health Organization, along with my own observations.
Having traveled quite a bit in Latin America, I noticed something about the news there that has an impact on what I am beginning to believe is a Swine Flu cover story.
The Latin American news guys have no respect for privacy in a hospital. None. They walk in with cameras to show the sick and injured if there is a news story to it. I've witnessed this with my own eyes watching the news south of the (US) border.
I have yet to see Mexican footage of hospital wards teeming with people suffering from the flu. Mexican officials say thousands are ill and dozens have died from this flu -- but no footage.
This is fishy.
Governments operate in the following cycle:
Government objective
Create a false crisis
Induce a reaction from citizens and the media
They have created the false crisis with this Swine Flu warning (talk about reusing the old playbook – hello 1976).
They have induced a moderate reaction from citizens and a frenzied reaction from the media (but no photos of the Swine Flu stricken).
What is their objective? It is certainly to cover up something since they are not demanding people line up for vaccinations of one sort or another like they did in 1976.
What real health crisis are they covering up? Is there any health crisis at all, or is this a false flag operation to cover up the possibility that the Mexican government was about to fall?
I’m not sure yet, but they may be covering up a zombie outbreak. That’s why I am declaring the watch.

Joe Biden Lets Some Truth Slip Out Today
US Vice President Joe Biden is the current US Administration's best chance at letting truth slip out -- the guy loves to hear himself talk, and talk, and talk, and talk, and talk. And while he is engaging in verbal diarrhea, he sometimes veers into telling the truth.
Today, Joe Biden helpfully gave differing advice from the powers-that-be in the government. Biden told people to stay off the subways. Planes, too, but really, stay off the subways. He acknowledged his advice was at odds with the official government line by saying "that's me."
That's Joe -- letting the truth slip out no matter what his job is.
So, maybe Joe (a dedicated rider of commuter rail) is worried about catching the flu, and maybe Joe knows that the subway is teeming with the walking dead.
Either way, I'm avoiding the subways for now.

About This Swine Flu
The World Health Organization (WHO) in Geneva, Switzerland, over the weekend declared a global Public Health Emergency over what they term a viral infection commonly referred to as "Swine Flu", although they are quick to point out it has nothing to do with swine.
The United States government has also declared a public health emergency.
All this over 20 cases of the flu in the United States? I think not!
Have you seen any people suffering from the flu? I hear media stories about other people falling ill and dying, but no pictures. It is always somebody else.
The real question is whether this "public health emergency" is just another federal power grab or a coverup for a different kind of outbreak.
I will be searching YouTube for cameraphone videos of flesh eating zombies in Mexico. I suggest you do, too.

The Standard Government Line
When the zombie plague does occur, you can bet the government will parrot the lines we are currently hearing about the H1N1 Swine Flu pandemic currently raging in Mexico. The political leaders will try to assuage the worry by saying things like:
"It's just a flu virus. We want to say to consumers here and abroad that there is no risk to you, there is no scientific evidence whatsoever that there is any link between [insert any consumer activity/foodstuff/product here] and the virus."
"Americans should know the government is doing whatever is necessary to contain the emerging health menace."
Legislators will try to defend their constiuencies by saying things like:
"Quit trying to blame it on [insert as appropriate: farmers/loggers/construction workers] and current production practices."
But, governments are by their nature liberty-destroying monsters. So, the appointed health and safety officers will say things like:
"There is a lot we don't yet know about this outbreak. But at the same time we have been preparing as if we are facing a true pandemic, even though we don't know the ultimate scope of what will occur."
However, they really want more infections within their own borders, which will give these unelected government bueaucrats more power, so they will give excuses as to whey they are not protecting the citizens' health aggressively. They will make excuses like:
"Closing the border now has not been merited by the facts. It would have very little marginal benefit in terms of containing the outbreak of virus within our own country."
"Scanning devices are not always accurate. They are not as precise as what we wish."
"You have travelers who are infected by do not evidence symtoms. So we can't really sift out travelers who are ill from those who are not based on looking for symptoms."
And the government and media synchophants will say things like:
"The Government is demonstrating a rapid, strong and reassuring response to this health crises."
Of course, a declaration of a Public Health Emergency doesn't make you safer, but it does give government more power.
When the government cogs start talking like they are talking now, you better start looking for moaning figures shambling down your street and across your lawn.

Why This Blog?
Between globalization, natural climate change, ease of world-wide transportation, the opening up of Communist China, and human migration patterns, it is only a matter of time until man stumbles across the virus or compound that turns humans into plague-carrying zombies. I'm not talking movie zombies -- I mean real zombies.
This blog is dedicated to keeping a watch for evidence of this eventuality and a watch on the powers that be that would deny this information to us.
